Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Kyle Troyer

I love having a positive impact on my patient’s lives, while helping to reconnect them to the power within their own body for natural healing.”

Dr. Kyle Troyer

Having been in practice for over 16 years, Dr. Troyer hasn’t once felt “burn out”-because he loves what he does. In fact, he thinks the next 16 years will be even more enjoyable than the first, as he’s built an incredible patient community that he sees as his own family.

Becoming a Chiropractor

Chiropractor Cedar Falls, Dr. Kyle TroyerDr. Troyer was in his undergraduate schooling when a friend in chiropractic school invited him to attend a talk given by a prominent member of the field. After returning home from the event, as Dr. Troyer’s wife can confirm, he couldn’t stop talking about chiropractic care-you could say he was hooked.

Just a few days later, he applied to chiropractic college, and upon completing his undergraduate degree, he set out to attend the renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport.

He fell in love with the field immediately, and believes it was divine intervention that led him to find upper cervical care. A friend started an upper cervical care club and encouraged Dr. Troyer to attend their meetings-as he got to know more about the technique, he knew this was the path for him.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Since graduating, Dr. Troyer has received an additional certification from the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophy, and teaches others this life-changing adjustment as an instructor and Blue Angel with the Knee Chest Society.

Outside of the Practice

When he isn’t changing lives in the practice, Dr. Troyer enjoys spending time with his wife, Jaime, and their three children. He loves coaching his daughters’ (Ava and Madelyn) soccer teams and is the Scoutmaster for Troop 95 in Jesup, IA, where his son Cameron is a soon to be Eagle Scout. The family is keen on traveling when they have the chance.

Dr. Troyer also practices what he preaches, and is under regular Upper Cervical chiropractic care himself. This is his family’s form of health care, as each of his children have been checked and adjusted when necessary from birth!

Dr. Tyler Speed

While a soccer player in high school, Dr. Speed experienced some of the benefits of chiropractic.

Thanks to chiropractic, I was able to get back to playing without depending on taking ibuprofen before practice or a game & avoided exploratory surgery.”

Chiropractic Education

Dr. Tyler SpeedBefore Chiropractic College, Dr. Speed earned a degree in movement and exercise science. After meeting with Dr. Troyer here at Upper Cervical Health Centers, Dr. Speed decided to go to Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina. “After getting my first upper cervical adjustment I knew that I would become an upper cervical chiropractor.”

While at Sherman, he served as a student ambassador for about three years and communicated the power of chiropractic to prospective students. “I was able to share how lives could be changed by allowing the nervous system to move freely.” He also went on a chiropractic mission trip to Guatemala.

In addition to his doctorate, Dr. Speed achieved advanced and basic certification level with the Knee Chest Society. He’s also a member of the Delta Sigma Chi Chiropractic fraternity.

Getting to the Root Cause

“If you look deeper into how your body is designed, every single cell, organ and tissue in your body is connected through your nervous system. You can put all the medicine in the world into your body, but if your brain doesn’t have that connection to your body, you’re just masking the symptoms, not fixing the root cause.”

What Dr. Speed loves most about being a chiropractor is allowing people to heal from above down, inside out.

Enjoying Life in Iowa

When he’s not at the practice, Dr. Speed enjoys spending time with his fiancé, Roselyn. They will be getting married on May 29, 2021. Dr. Speed also loves being outdoors. Boating on the Mississippi in the summer, hiking, biking and playing cards are some of his favorite things to do.

“I thought when I left South Carolina, I would never return to this state. But the people here are out of this world. I knew I had to come back to be close to my family and the people of Iowa!”
